About Me
I am a Pole, currently residing in Berlin. I never got a degree in computer science, but that does not mean that I am not good at what I am doing. Our former president never got an academic degree and look at what he achieved. I am a student at Viadrina University in Frankfurt (Oder) and I am currently writing my final thesis about online communities.
I am passionate about programming. Wait, wait -- passionate is not enough. Programming is my life and fills every free moment I have. Even when I eat and when I sleep, I still think about solutions for the problems I am encountering.
I am a web devoloper and a web designer (not a CSS guru though). I feel pretty comfortable with object oriented programming in PHP, I love the simplicity of jQuery framework, and the possibilities of AJAX (however, it is not always the X).
Relational databases are a necessity. What would we do without them?
I just started my adventure with Java. I hate to stay in one place. I like to move forward and discover new things. Being used to PHP, I find the language of Java kind of funny, but right now this adventure has given me a totally different look at OOP and I find myself using some of it's features in other languages more then before.
And last but not least, there are frameworks and template engines. What can I say, I like them and use them, but if you want something original, your own very own creation, you need to build it from scratch.
That's what I like about programming. There is always a possibility to make very specific personal decisions when developing.
